My Friends,
Conviction and Courage. This is how the disciples of Jesus acted as a result of Christ rising from the dead on Easter morning. No one could stop them from proclaiming the fact that this Jesus rose from the dead to atone for the sins of all people and give them a chance to share with Him- everlasting life.
This same courage and conviction is an integral part of your life and mine as Catholic Christians. We are staunch believers in Christ who imparts to us the courage not only to live His life in our day to day living but also to battle and withstand anything that comes our way. This insidious disease will not get the better of us because we are imbued with God’s Spirit and with Him as our leader and guide, we WILL conquer and once again rise from this stronger and more convinced than ever that Jesus is the ONLY answer to all of life’s difficulties.
Know that I am praying for all of you.
God Bless,
Father John
The saga continues about the disciples doing good deeds in the name of Jesus. The powers that be are outraged that the disciples are still preaching in Christ’s name. The disciples give them a brilliant answer. They say : We must obey God rather than men!
Nothing and no one should stand in the way of preaching the Word of God. God’s message only goes against anything that is dark, sinister and twisted. What the Word of God does for you and me is help us to live better lives and teaches us values, morals and principles by which we can live more productive, holier lives.
In dealing with God and all that is good, you and I need not worry because the Lord will be with us as He was with His first disciples.
You and I are poor in the eyes of God which means that we realize that we are nothing without Him. May the Lord give us the courage to trust in Him for as the RP tells us; the Lord hears the cry of the poor.
